I've done a auto install op knoppmyth and got (every second) on my console the message:

not enough free buffers ......
My system is very slow
Can someone tell me what this mean and what I should do to solve this problem?

mobo: via epia c3800
mpegcard: pvr350 (hauppage)
mem: 256 mb
hd: 30 gb hitachi 2.5"
slimline dvd-rom

well the error means that there are not enough free buffers for the pvr350 to write to and it is going to drop a frame. As for how to fix it, check for dma. there's a command to increase the buffers that some have claimed success with. look at the test_ioctl stuff. and if you can't really tell anything in your recordings don't worry about it. I get that occationaly on mine, but I still get pretty good recordings.
