Is it possible to remove some plugins from the main screen. For example I don't intend on ever using MythGame. I don't mind having it installed or even present in the setup screens I just don't want to see it by default.

Yes, remove the deb. dpkg -r mythgame<TAB>
Or edit /usr/share/mythtv/mainmenu.xml.

Thanks again cesman.

I'll take the mainmenu.xml route. I may change my mind some day.

P.S. I think we should start a collection and by you a PVR-350 so that works out of the box too. I'd chip in.

You're welcome! If you ever need to go back to the original, you can just cp mainmenu.xml.kmr4 mainmenu.xml, the same goes for the settings. Thanks for the offer, Hauppauge is suppose to be sending Dale and I a 350.

Cesman, I removed my mythnews module via dpkg -r mythnews... now I'd like it back. Is there an easy way to get it via apt-get install or something? I don't want to reinstall R4.

The packages are included in r4_src/pkgs/i686 or i585. dpkg -i myth<TAB>.

Thanks for the info cesman! I found the deb, but I upgraded to 0.13 and am wondering if installing a 0.12 package will messup anything? Or is mythnews its own addon that doesn't care about the version of the parent application?

$ locate mythnews
/home/mythtv/r4_src/mythnews-0.12.tar.bz2
/home/mythtv/r4_src/mythtv-0.12_pkgs/mythnews_0.12-1_i386.deb

You cannot run a 0.12 modules with mythtv 0.13. You'll have to compile mythnews from source.
