Soo many probs...

Attempted an auto upgrade from V4R5...

1) knoppix doesn't install the 2.6 source as it does with 2.4...so I cant install nvidia drivers

2) my pvr-250 no longer gets autodetected (god knows why)

Bring back 2.4kernel and xorg! It made life so much simpler.

All I wanted was to upgrade to myth .17...now I have to reload R5 w/ myth .16...all I ended up doin was wasting 2hours.

The kernel source is in R5A10 but you need to untar before building the ivtv drivers. This has been covered more than half a dozen times already and it is explicitly stated in the install instructions!

It does indeed include the kernel sources,. The tar ball is called kernel-source-2.6.9-chw.tar.bz2 and it can be found in /usr/src

also #2 about the pvr250 not being detected has also been covered over and over again and is also covered in the install instructions. You have to add ivtv to /etc/modules

This is a prerelease there are going to be a few minor issues, and I would say the issues we've had are very minor. The biggest one is people not reading the instructions and griping about things that are explicitly stated.

1. Read my post about the releases.
2. Read my post about the releases.
It is KnoppMyth not Knoppix. KnoppMyth will not be going back to 2.4, Xorg was never included.
