Ok, i'm a semi newbie and going crazy here.. I downloaded and installed KnoppMyth.. I followed the instructions word for word, the first time around I did the install-nvidia.sh and everything worked fine.

I had some issues with my ivtv where it was automaticly loading each time.. so is started having to run it manualy 'modprob ivtv' my mythtv would load up and and goto live video and it would freeze about 5seconds later...

So I figured i'd reload everything and start over... I wipe the partions and started over... but now I can run the 'install-nvidia.sh ' it keeps saying command not found...

I am farely confident that I need the nvidia drivers installled, I have an nvidia card and it says /dev/video0 could not be found a few times while booting...

1. How do I get the darn driver to install (why all of a sudden is the install-nvidia.sh command not working?

2. Why is my ivtv not loading automaticly? (I cant see my inputs until i do the modprob) I have a PVR250

3. why would it freeze after 4 seconds of recording

a few errors i get are:
nvidiavideosync could not open device
couldn't open /dev/video1 to probe its inputs.
install-nvidia.sh not found
nvidiavideosync: vblank ioctl did not work

Any help would be greatly appericated!

you failed to tell us what version you are trying to use, if R5A? then a quick search of the forum (and the install docs you claim to have read) would yield about 50 threads about these known issues with the alpha software.
