hi list i have installed knoppmyth with an aver 771 card installed it goes through the everything fine i go into the mythtv-setup and i find my dvb card their fine i select it i scan for the channels yep i get them i creat a source fine i go through the who;e setup fine everything appears ok i get out and i run mythtv and all i get is a black scren nothing else ok after about 30 seconds it goes back to the main window does anyone know what might be wrong at all any help would be most appreciated thanks list

Dude this has been covered so many times. Go back into mythtv-setup and enter a valid starting channel in the Input Connections bubble.

hi greg thanks for the suggestion but this makes absolutey no fiference at all i put a valid channel that is in the list of my channels but still nothing ok thanks for your advice anyway ok

well just cause it's in the list doesn't actually mean it's valid, it is quite possible to get channels that are strong enough to get picked up on the scan, but not playback, for playback they have to come in at over 60% signal strength for a short time before myth will even attempt to playback on that channel.

I have a big problem with this Card.

when i install knoppmyth, modprobe the first time and added dvb-bt8xx into /etc/modules the Card works great.

But when i restart my PC the Card cant be detected

'Now, when i halt my machine and take the Avermedia in an other PCI Slot it will be detected, but after the next restart not more. That really sucks :-(
