I suspect this has to be a new installation type but the mythtv instructions for installing a slave backend say not to run mythfilldatabase. Perhaps this doesn't matter but KnoppMyth always runs mythfilldatabase after the myth-setup script exits.

KnoppMyth follows the same rules as any other distro when it comes to Myth. When you are in mythtv-setup, <CTRL><C> to stop the script. Open and xterm and rm -fr .configure. Then simply run mythtv-setup, you can ingore the message the states running mythfilldatabase.
