I've done lots of forum research be have found no similar issues

If I watch non-live TV on my monitor, its way too fast. Ive tried the 'playback speed' functions but cant get it correct.

I can record a show, move file to an XP machine and playback is perfect.
I can watch live TV with correct speed (I dont have audio from linux yet)

But...

if I watch a record show via myth, the palyback is about twice correct speed. if I pause live video, then unpause, the buffer plays back 'quickly' until the playback catches up w/ the live feed.

Seems if there is any buffered data (recorded, or paused live tv) it plays back too quickly.

I also have gotten audio to work...I've tried most of the posted suggested fixes...but that is an issue for another post.
