When I boot the KnoppMyth CD (R4V3) with my Twinhan 1020 DVB-S card installed, I get to "Autoconfiguring devices" and then it hangs. Removing the card solves this problem. Is it ok to install KnoppMyth without the card installed and put it in and get it working after installation? I verified the card works ok in Windows. Sorry if this is a dumb 'newbie' question :)

wow - thanx for the quick reply :) I installed the CD and put in the 1020, but now during boot it hangs. It hangs during the init phase, before anything graphical comes up. Curiously, when it hangs, the Caps Lock & Scroll Lock lights on my keyboard flash. I have tried different keyboards and mice, but that doesn't help. Any ideas? :)

Are you sure that you are booting with R4V3 ? this used to be a problem on r4v2 but the new bttv drivers in r4v2 stops this hang (on my twinhan dvb-t card)
If you install without the card, and then comment out the bttv driver in /etc/modules then it should load withou hanging when you reinstall the card.
