Hey everyone,

First of all I'm not a linux guru and if I do linux always without X11 -webserver, mailserver & firewalls. I just finished setting up mythTV for the first time. After extesive reading in the forums, I finally managed to get TV working for PAL/Germany.

My current Hardware (just a HTPC-Testsetup):

AthlonXP 1700+
GigaByte 7VTX-P
ATI RageXL
Haupauge WinTV PVR-350
LCD-Display via VGA

But I have two issues:

1. tv_grab_de (with a symbolic link to tv_grab_de_tvtoday) downloads the channel-part of the xmltv-file but stops with an error, when it tries to download the program-part (error in tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 504).

2. My Video-Output (TV & DVD) is jumping up and down (just a few pixels) and even in full-screen there is black bar on the right side. Maybe because my graphics adapter does not support xv?

u have to configure livetv profile in config->config tv-> record profile to 720x576 (PAL) or 720x460? NTSC ..
that should stop the jumping live tv.

Upgrade XMLTV via apt-get, tvtoday made minor changes to its website recently, but that has been fixed.

For full PAL support this is what i did edit:

/sysconfig/ivtv/cfg-0


set_ivtv_params

it seems that this isnt grabbed via $IVTVDIR/cfg-0

/modules/ivtv


and finally i did edit the recodingprofiles in myth-configuration

tanzania
