I'm french and i just install knoppmyth on my box.
Those work very fine for all with a crt but when i use my TVscreen, after the boot when all works fine, when the NVIDIA logo should to run i can't seen anymore because the screen "vibring".
I think that i have to edit the XF86Config-4 file but whit my box i cannot install my adsl line and i don't no how to edit this file.
Have you an idee?

You have several options. It depends on how comfortable you are with Unix.

If you have the KnoppMyth box networked to another PC you can remotely log in with ssh. You may need to start the ssh server (as root run "/etc/init.d/sshd restart") first. This will let you avoid the display problem.

You can also copy the file from the KnoppMyth machine to a second machine using ftp or scp, edit it on the second machine and copy it back. Again, you may need to start the servers if they're not running.

If you have a video card, you can plug in a monitor temporarily and use that to edit you cofiguration files.

Thanks to you for your respons but the box canot be on lan.
The second things is that i have a video card in, gforce4 with TVout, she work very fine with geexbox on the tv but whit knoppmyth she work only on a crt screen(monitor) but she work very fine with that.
My problem is that when i attach the box to my TVscreen the boot is perfect i have the image on the tv but when the NVIDIA should appears the sreen get "vibring" and i don't now why.

you need to edit the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file. you can use any unix editor you are familiar with. if you are not familiar with any you can use the command vimtutor to learn vi then use that.

What you will need to change in the file once you learn how to use an editor is the horizontal and vertical refresh rates. I would tell you what to change it to, but I believe france uses PAL and I don't know what rates PAL uses maybe someone who does will chime in or you will have to search for it.
