Post subject:  Getting fatal errors during the partitioning phase

I can't get past the partitioning phase when trying to install Knoppmyth. The system gets to about 31% completion and then I get the following error:

Error: Mounting of /dev/hda1 failed. Some Messages from mount: 32768, 98304, 163840, 229376, 294912, 819200, 884736 Writing inode tables: 0/33 3/33 6/33

I have tried two different hard drives with the same result. My cabling/jumpering appears to be correct (my hard drive is showing as the primary ide master).

Hi,

Information needed:
Size of the drive
Method of install
Version of KnoppMyth
any extra details would help, mem size, processor, the little things.

Also run the install in the test mode, press F1 for assistance at boot time.

Hello, I am having the same issue.

I have a 4Gb drive
500Mhz CPU
Auto Install
R5E50 release of KnoppMyth
192Mb RAM

Is the drive just not big enough?
Do I need to do a manual install and specify the partition sizes?

Thanks for the help!
