First, let me say incredible distro!
I was a complete Linux newbie and was able to get almost everything up in running in a few nights of tinkering.
Even was able to add epsxe playstation emulator and modify the PC games menu to add it in.

so to my issue -
I built the homebrew IR receiver and it works (tested and created a quickie config file in Winders)
Moved the config file to lircd.conf
(named the buttons the same as the Hauppage LIRCRC file)

But no go.
With the default installation, IRW returns something but I cant get IRrecord to work.

I reran the install with i686-l, but now after IRW I get Connection Refused.

I assume with the keys mapped to CH+ and CH- and the Vol keys that should control the main menu commands?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am still a newbie. The only way I know to drop to a prompt is CTRL-ALT-F2, and only way I know to get back to MythTv is rebooting...
