Is there any way for it to automatically change the time on the box because of daylight savings? I thought it would do this since it was set up to know that I'm in the Eastern time zone. |

Use NTP, someone has already posted instructions on setting it up. |

well use ntp on your box if it works for you, but I had to disable it on mine cause it kept making my recordings cut off the end of every show. |

How does that happen? I'm using ntp without problem. I use a little 'padding' before and after my recordings to account for any network 'foolery' with the schedule. |

I haven't played with the record before and after, because I have so many back to back recordings and I'm not sure how it would affect them. |

I don't have many back-to-back recordings, so I'm not 100% sure, but I think that it's 'smart' enough to know not to record past the start time of the second program. |
