Hi,
I installed R5B7 on a new hard disk in order to return to knoppmyth after running a gentoo install for a while.

After the install, I am getting all sorts of permission-related problems: sshd and mysqld not starting for example.
Investigating this, I found that the whole installation looks as though something ran

chown -R mythtv:mythtv /

I can eventually chown my way back (unless some boot script is doing this.)
Did I do something running the install script to cause that to happen?

You do realize that that's now two versions back from the current release right? I'd recommend trying the latest release (R5D1) to see if it produces a clean install.
