I am currently building my second knoppmyth box. I have a 320GB ATA HDD which I want to use roughly 100GB for myth, and the other 200GB for storing media files - mp3 divx etc. The system is a backend only, I use xbox frontends. I normally just use auto install. If i do and then create a "media" directory on the /myth partition (samba shared), will myth just use up whatever space is left on the partition for its recordings? How can i limit how much space knoppmyth uses for recordings? The other idea I had was to do a manual install, and create a /media partition, making /myth only about 100GB in size. any recommendations? If i could use some sort of soft limit on the size of the myth recordings, it would probably end up quite a nice flexible solution, instead of having a fixed size for myth and media thanks |

Could you use parted to split the partition into 2? |

I havn't actually installed yet, so i may aswell set up the partitions properly from the start |
