| Post subject: | Can't set User Password in R5D1 |
I'm trying to do a manual install with R5D1 with the following config. (Nforce4 mobo, 1 40gb PATA drive, 2 250GB PATA drives, 2 250GB SATA drives). The 40gb is the boot drive, and I partition it as such (intending to make an LVM of the others after install). After partitioning, I choose Configure Installation and after filling in the name options am prompted to set the password. But it won't allow me to type anything in there so I can never proceed, telling me the passwords aren't the same or empty. Any ideas? |

When you type your password in, not is displayed. Type it in, press <ENTER> and type it in again. What happens? |

I guess I was expecting some kind of local echo. Seems to be fine when I put in a password accurately both times. Thank You |
