| Post subject: | cannot connect to X server |
when I turn the computer on it loads up to a screen that has a picture of a monitor running mythtv on it with the big word "Knoppmyth" underneath it. at this point it jsut kind of sits there for a while (about a minute or so) then pulls up a dialog box asking me to log in. When I log in (as either my username, mythtv, or as Root) and then type the command Mythtv I get the error message Cannot connect to X server. any ideas on how to fix this? or whats going wrong? thanks |

Perhaps you need to read the pamphlet? Sounds like you've installed yet fail to configure. You need to enter the root password... |
