Hi everyone,

Well, as you can see from the time this is being posted, another long evening of banging my head against the wall. Not quite sure what I'm doing wrong or if the hardware I'm using just isn't what I should be. Speaking of which, this is my setup:

Athlon 2500+XP
MSI KM4M-L Motherboard (Onboard lan, onboard AC97 audio <-- disabled)
nVidia FX5200
Asus TV-FM Tuner (saa7133 based)
Sound Blaster Live!

Alrighty, it seems like all my stuff is detected correctly after I do my nvidia driver installation as per the FAQ. However, whenever I start LiveTV from the frontend I get a blank screen with the console spitting out:

"Audio buffer overflow, audio data lost" until i am able to hit escape enough to get it to change over to not watching TV anymore.

I have setup everything correctly as far as I can tell and I've tried unmuting the card using alsamixer but I simply don't know what to do from here.

If anyone can shed any light on where I might be missing something, please, please let me know by posting a reply. I hope I become good enough with KnoppMyth that I can help others as well.

Thanks very much,
Chris

Have you searched the MythTV archive?

I sur ehave chcked the MythTV Archives, and it seems quite a few people have run into this problem, but noone really has a solution or even an explaination for what this error means or how I can potentially solve my problem.

I'll try a few more things today, like getting it to work on a CRT first and then trying to transfer to TV-Out, but surprisingly, TV-Out has been the most painless part of the process. If anyone has any idea what this error actually means, maybe I could have a better idea of how to fix it.

Anyway, thanks for any help in advance.
Chris
