Hi Everyone.
I'm afraid I need some help...

I'm Attempting to install R5e50. When I get to the boot: prompt; hitting enter will bring up a grey screen followed quickly by a reboot.

Typing TV will repeatedly generate: Unknown Interrupt or fault at EIP 00000060 C01002B1 000002B0

Typing failsafe generates: "<o> Kernel Panic - not syncing. Attempted to kill idle task" and then it hangs there.

Memtest passes.

the system in an:
HP Pavillion A705W - Intel 845GV chipset. 2.93 Ghz Celeron (MS6577 mobo), 512mb ram, ATi 9250 w/256mb PCI Video card, Hauppauge Wintv-150 card, 120gb Mator Hdd on primary master that still has XP Home on it (I expect it will get formatted), Liteon combo cd burner/dvd reader on sec master. It is connected to both a monitor and an NTSC televison via the 9250 as the onboard video is disabled in the bios.

Any idea's what the problem might be? I am at the bottom of the newb level when it comes to linux.
Thanks,
Tim

Edited to add hardware config.

I verified the burn right after burning it.

I think I have it down to it being a problem with the dual video cards (onboard & ati9250) It seems the onboard cannot be disabled in the bios as I thought but it is in WinXP. So I'm looking for a way to get the install to scan the pci bus for the video card and skip the agp.

Or

I give up, pull my 9250, and make this the backend machine. LOL

I'm nopt ready to give up yet!

Thanks again!
Tim
