The cd is R4v4.1
Same error with R4v4

R4v2 works fine and is installed on the system. The same hardware configuration was used.

My SCSI card:
Adaptec SCSI 39160

Same problem with an adaptec 2940... I tried with the latest release.

also using the same card, knoppmyth R4V4.1, hangs on boot loading aic7xxx.o

any resolve?

I decided to use an older version of knoppmyth and update the mythTV stuff seperatly with apt. But I haven't seen any progress on this specific problem.

it's not a knoppmyth specific problem, knoppix does the same thing. usually specifying the noscsi boot option will allow you to continue to boot.
