Post subject:  Migration from Myth on Ubuntu

Hi,

A while back I had the bright idea of installing MythTV on an Ubuntu box. I figured it would give me the flexibility to use the machine as a linux desktop and PVR. As it turns out, I use it very little as a desktop, and never did get my A415 remotes working...I'd like to make the jump back to KnoppMyth, but I don't want to lose my recordings, music, schedules and all that other goodness that is my media!

With the new release of Knoppmyth, I'm hoping to do this soon. But what steps should I take to ensure this goes as smoothly as possible? And how would I go about it in the first place.

Thank you,

-Chad

Backup your DB, then use the instructions here to resore your DB after installing KM? Just don't destroy your /myth partition (or equivalent). How is your Ubuntu Mythbox partioned?
