mplayer plays dvd when i am starting it from the command line, mythdvd does not play (it only show me an green screen) the led on the dvd-rom show reading. the same with xine.

please help me, thanks

Are you trying to play an encrypted DVD? If so have you installed the leagaly questionable decss? If you have not then you cannot play or rip encrypted DVD's which are most movies.

Have you setup the DVD options in the MythTV menu?
