I am having an issue with my GeForce 7600GT. After I get everything installed, I reboot for the first time, everything starts up OK until X comes up. The screen flickers a few times, then goes to a white screen with a few black lines and artifacts. Any idea what the problem is and what the solution could be? |

Great, thanks. I wont be using this card indefinitely though, it is actually the video card from my girlfriend's computer. I am not about to drop my 7900GT in there, so I think I am gonna Newegg a 6200 LE since they are only like $38 or something, fanless. I was originally using an ATI X1300 that a friend gave me but ATI sure has some shitty/non-existent Linux drivers. |

Just for the hell of it, I turned on my onboard video and it actually worked perfectly. I didn't think onboard would be the best choice for something like this, but I am willing to give it a try. I am grabbing a VGA-to-Composite converter from work too (since it is going to be sitting by my TV). |
