Followed cesman's instructions and upgraded my master server to 0.15 without any major issues (thanks). When I went through to do the same thing to my slave (just used for viewing info on the master) I hit the following snag when trying to install the main deb: root@mythtv-bedroom:/home/mythtv# apt-get install mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc Quote: Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done The following NEW packages will be installed: mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 509 not upgraded. Need to get 0B/7850kB of archives. After unpacking 17.8MB of additional disk space will be used. E: /var/cache/apt/archives/mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc_0.15-1_i386.deb not a valid DEB package. E: Prior errors apply to /var/cache/apt/archives/mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc_0.15-1_i386.deb (Reading database ... 43431 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc (from .../mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc_0.15-1_i386.deb) ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc_0.15-1_i386.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite `/usr/bin/mythbackend', which is also in package mythtv-i686-xvmc dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc_0.15-1_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) root@mythtv-bedroom:/home/mythtv# I get the same error if I install the deb with or without xvmc. I cannot get it to install the standard deb either; same message. What did I screw up? Thanks all! |
