All my guide information is off by 3 hours. The clock in mythtv has the right time though.

When i installed everything the computer time was wrong, i have since fixed the computer time. Could this be the problem?

Thanks for any help!

Yes. This is exactly the problem. Fixing it is a nusciance but not all that hard.

In broad outline you need to:

1) Restart all the servers so that they have the correct notion of local time. The easiest way to do this is to reboot and check that the system comes up with the correct local time.

2) Re-run the setup script, answer yes to the question to clear out all the schedule data, and rerun mythfilldatabase.

Search the forum for details. (Hint: search for TZ or timezone and database or mysql) There are actually several manifestations of this basic issue including old recordings being inaccessible after an update, the schedule being off by X hours, ...

Ok, but HOW do I fix it? In particular, how do I run the setup script and mythfilldatabase?

btw, my system time and my MythTV time are correct, it's only the guide data that's off (by 3 hrs).

Thanks for all the great work!

Steve

Howski - SEARCH THE FORUM. There are several very detailed sets of instructions if you just look. This is a self service joint.
