I picked up a new PVR-250 and after quite a bit of finagling was able to get it to install and detect along with my TV Wonder VE. The problem I have now is with audio from the 250. Audio works on the TV Wonder VE. I've scoured the forums for answers but still not luck. It is a newer card, detects as:

Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc: Unknown device 0016 (rev 01)

I am unsure what dsp device to set the tuner to when configuring the 250.

I've unsuccessfully tried btaudio, perhaps because of misconfigureation. I've also looked at tvaudio, which seems to be on other posts abou the 250 but nothing has worked.

don't know if this will help but here are my loaded modules.

well I'm not sure what the problem is, but I know it's not either of the two things you mentioned. btaudio has nothing to do with pvr cards, and the dsp device doesn't matter. the pvr cards don't use them they mux the sound in the video stream.

you may want to search the forums for pvr250 sound some people have problems with the knoppmyth-run script in fvwmrc

Actually my hardware setup is different from yours... Other than perhaps modifing one of the files in /etc/mythtv/modules/ it should just work. If you had to "finagling" things perhaps you finagled the wrong thing. tvaudio has nothing to do with the 250. Recompile ivtv...

Got it all working now. Xsecrets' post lead me to the problem. A recompile of the msp3400 module for ivtv fixed the problem.
