I can check that X is runing by trying startX (fails white allready started)
My graphic chip is corectly detected and am NOT using a TV (I havent got a TV out). A guss that SAM1156 is a corct detected SM755DF????

Can I set the monitor and its V,H,resolution in the setup??? Is ther a xconfig tool???

Sorry you'll have to get dirty at the command line. you need to either ssh to the box, or ctrl+alt+F2 to get a command prompt then vi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 that file is where you set the horz and vert refresh rates for your monitor. you should see where. If you don't know how to use vi just run vimtutor the first few pages should teach you enough to get by opening and editing files.

to see if there are any errors which there are most likely not in your case since X didn't crash look at /var/log/X<tab> sorry I always forget the case on the rest of that word, but tab completion will get it for you.

Thank you for the info!

My monitor and g-card is corectly detected but don't work unles I use some of the default VESA modes (no modeline etc etc.) that mode looks to ugly! I think that this is coused by the fact that the g-card is integrated, and different from the same chipset on a standalone card?!?

So I have to use Redhat or Mandrake as base for MyTV insted! (The card works in Mandrake (same X-server etc.)
