I just installed knoppMyth. After seeing the amazing Mythtv, I couldn't believe someone didn't do something like this. Then I looked into doing it myself. Hmmm. So glad you guys did this. Latest freaky-wow moment: I looked up the IP of my myth box and went to another computer an typed it in to the browser. Mythweb was magically running. Wow! Told it to record a movie currently running, it changed channels on Myth and there's my movie. It also shows the space each recording takes up. Wow. Very, very nice. I'll echo the thanks. My knoppmyth box just "went live" in the family room. Tivo got moved to a spare room as a backup. My wife isn't thrilled that she has to learn a new interface and thinks it's too tricky for the kids, but she'll come around. 
Last night booted my laptop to a frontend with knoppmyth and watched a few shows. Mplayer wouldn't work, but everything else did, it was quite a kick. Thanks for all the hard work.

You're welcome! You'll need some way to mount(nfs or smb) the partition on the backend then MPlayer(MythVideo) and MythMusic should work. cesman |
