I manage to get my system installed ok (using an Acer L100) running the following install options Code: knoppmyth screen=1920x1080 depth=24
After the reboot X loads in what looks like the right resolution (complete guess having not run a pc at this res before), I get the setup terminal window asking me to enter my root password but at that point everything locks up completely, I can't even change to a virtual console. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing the lock-up? Could the resolution be the problem? I run an identical PC with R5F27 at a resolution of 1280x1024 and it's fine. |

Solution was to install normally then change the xorg.conf later. |
