| Post subject: | Install hangs very early |
Hi - Have downloaded & burnt R4V4.1 (md5sum checks out). Am trying to install it (either Auto or Manual) and the system hangs after I click OK for the time zone. System is: ASUS A7V133 (both HD & DVD/CD-RW on IDE controller) WinTV 350 SoundBlaster Live ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder What could cause a hang so early in the install process? Any help appreciated. |

Most likely culprit is a BIOS setting.. if you have 2 lights blinking on your keyboard, try unpluging the network cable as you are booting up. |

Not sure, but if you are planning on trying to use the tv in and out of that all in wonder card don't even bother figuring out the problem just install windows, cause otherwise the all in wonders don't work. |

Thanks very much for the help. I reset the ESCD, and disabled the Promise ATA/100 controller. (Disks are on the IDE controller). Now it installed. Will deal with the AIW later. |
