When ever i try and play a store bought dvd it does not seem to do anything, so when i switch to cnt+alt+f1, i see where it says cd=illegal operation...is there any way to fix this because it dosnt make any sence to have a dvd player that dosnt play dvd's lol |

after more searching i have found this ok what kind of cpu do you have? usually the illegal instruction happens when you have the i686 compiled version of mplayer running on a cpu that does not have sse. i did install the i686, im curretnly using an AMD 2000 is this not i686? |

athlonXP is i686. maybe you should look around for information about decss or css or even DMCA. I have written much about it. |

i have found a way to view them....if i go to rip dvd and just click view on the track that the movie is on it seems to work. it seems wierd to me but lol it works |
