| Post subject: | booting without starting xserver |
Basically i changed something in my XF86Config file and now when the xserver starts my screen shows green blocks for awhile, than nothing. So i have no way of changing anything like my run level to allow me to restart into the console. Is there a key i can hold down, or something like that so that my xserver does not start and i am atomatically dumped into the console? Thanks |

Sorry to offend, in what group should i of asked this? Also, xsecrets, thats for the help, but lilo gives me no opportunity to type anything, it just starts booting. I apologize for the seemingly dumb questions, i am blatantly new at this linux thing, but i am slowly learning. |

try hiting the tab or left shift key. I belive lilo is configured with a 1 second delay or something like that, but one of those keys should stop the clock and allow you to type. |
