I am trying to upgrade from R5E50 to R6 and when mythvantage asks for which drive to choose, the only choices are my two 200GB hard drives.
I currenly have an LVM for my /myth directory.

For my two hard drives hda and hdb, hda is broken into 4 partitions

1: root
2: ??(maybe tmpfs)
3: cache
4:is part of the LVM

and hdb is all devoted to the LVM.

How would I go about an installation of R6 without killing my /myth LVM?

If you select the drive that your root partition is on and use the upgrade option it will use that and the swap (probably what your unknown partition is) and leave the rest alone.

Also since LVM is now deprecated, getting it to use your old /myth volume requires jumping through some hoops. I would recommend dealing with that issue before you start if at all possible.
