I keep getting an install error when I try to install a certain something. The name of the package starts with "lib" and ends with a "css," but I've read that we aren't supposed to discuss it in these forums. when I do an apt-get install I get "could not resolve 'marillat.free.fr' Failed to fetch http://marillat.free.fr/dist/unstable/main/binary-i386/<unnnamed package>. What's going on? ![]() |

This isn't a KnoppMyth installation issue. This has been covered on the forum before... |

adamwilliamsanders, Despite some recent newbie rants over being told a bit curtly to search first and ask questions later, this is CLEARLY a case where if even bothered to get off you lazy *** you'd have found the answer for yourself with FAR less aggravation all the way around. Searching for the error message string you gave would have taken you to EXACTLY the answer you needed. This is not a matter of unfriendlyness or unkindness but simply well deserved KITA. Cesman is actually being far politer to you than I think you deserve. |

If no one wants to answer, they don't have to and the moderator can delete the topic if he wants to. The problem was with libdvdcss and using that as a search topic that thread is not returned. Believe me, I've been scrounging through these forums for days, probably more than I should. I want to thank cesman graciously, I'm having a lot of fun because of his help. I didn't think it was Knoppmyth's fault, however I do wonder if that address was changed so long ago why the current version doesn't have an updated sitelist. That correction would take very little time to make. I just typed a nasty comment in this space but then deleted it, because I won't stoop to your troglodytic level, tjc. This conversation is over. |
