Hey all... I consider myself very knowledgable when it comes to linux, and I tried manually many many times to get mythtv to work with no avail... just have so many issues with qt, ld not finding lqt-mt, and just so much other stuff... Tried the rpms, but to no avail either! Then I found this site, downloaded the iso, and away it went. I had issues with XMLTV, but i compiled the new version, and it worked like a charm... I still however have no luck in displaying video and the program guide.(keeps seg faulting on me!) my device is found on startup, its a bt878 chip (avertv pvr deluxe edition)... what info do you guys need to help me out? lol... When i try to watch video (watch livetv), i get audio on my output, but get no video and the screen just stays black and i can't get out of it... also, when the program guide starts to update the db, it usually locks up my machine as well... I just built this machine from scratch, its a 2.5ghz with 512k of ram and a 60 gig maxtor hd with the avertv pvr studio deluxe... also how would i go about getting the IR interface that is accessed via the 1/4" connector? so many problems =( anyhow, thanks in advance, and hopefully (soon) I can enjoy my settop box like the rest of you! |

Do you know if this card is support w/ bttv? If so, you probably need to tell module which card you have. cesman |

my machine is literally just locking up on me now... anyone know what it could be? it locks up when i try ot update xmltv alot... can't ping, box just freezes. |
