When installing Knoppmyth 4V4.1 on my computer with the specs:
800mhz Pentium 3
Leadtek XP 2000
Geforce 2 GTS
Abit SE6 motherboard
WD Caviar 60gb

I can get to the installation point where it asks to format the drives, but when CFdisk pulls up it says the disk is read-only and that it can not find the drive size. This seems to be a problem with the hardware moreso than Knoppmyth.
Thanks.

not sure about the problem, but you do realize that the pIII800 is not going to work wery well with that leadtek card.

Have search of the forum may help.

While the PIII is fat enough to record or watch a recording, it isn't fast for live TV.

I assume that the hardrive had a ntfs partition on it from the error. Such as from win2k, xp, etca. For some reason some linux distros have a problem with this. I had to insert a windows 2k or above disk, run it to the part of partition the hardrive and delete the partition. (I had to do this to install Slackware in the past.) Now for some reason KnoppMyth did not just except this after doing this. So I had to throw my slack cd in and run cfdisk and set up a partition. Then I rebooted, put in the KnoppMyth disk and it was a go and would then reconize and partition it succesfully. Hope that helps since I had the exact same error messages.
