Finally I installed Knoppmyth. When installation displays this message "Knoppmyth was installed successfully". I press the Ok button. The system has to reboot automatically or I need to reboot by my self?. I type init 6 and the system reboot but when is starting the msp3410 daemon my computer is frozen. What can I do? Thanks for your help. |

Remove the PVR-xxx card from the machine. It should now boot OK. I just went through the same issue with mine and I am returning it to Hauppauge tomorow. I spoke to the guy at Hauppauge after installing the card in a Windows PC and it failed to load the OEM drivers, he said it sounds defective, and gave me an RMA. I did post my troubles. I search for msp3410 would have returned my thread, thus giving you an answer  . If I dont tell you to search someone else will.

if its one of the pvr 250 mce cards or a recent pvr card that has the same problem as most pvr 250 mce cards theres a problem where the ivtv drivers auto detect the wrong model of the card (diffrent chipsets) theres a few guides and fixes for your to fix this tho if the card doesnt work in a windows box either then it may be defective but if it does then this is likly your problem so try this guide http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1443 and just change the line in it options tuner type=45 to options tuner type=2 45 is pal, 2 is ntsc u can also skip the bttv steps tho if u have a bttv card in there besides the pvr card and if i remember right the msp34xx is the sound Component for the pvr card hopfully this helps |
