Post subject:  Please read before posting.

This section of for problems or question related to installing KnoppMyth. If you have installed, gone thru the initial configuration and MythTV as fired up don't post here. Posts that don't belong will simply be deleted. Please search the forum before aking questions. One can also search the MythTV archive and the IvyTV archive.

Examples of what to post where.
I'd like to install avidemux, can someone please help?
Linux -> Installation
Don't post in KnoppMyth -> Installation. This is for KnoppMyth related installation issues.

I get a black screen when starting MythTV, what do I do?
Linux -> MythTV

There is a new version of Xine out.
Linux -> General

I'm having a problem w/ my video card.
KnoppMyth -> Hardware

Again, please post in appropriate sections, if you not certain wher e to post then do so in Linux -> General. If you have a problem and someone has posted a soultion that works, please return and give you thanks for the solution. If someone else has the same issue and sees(hopfully by searching) that what was recommended worked for you, they can try it instead of wondering if the recommended solution works or not.

Also, DO NOT multi post the same question in multiple sub-forums. It annoys Cecil no end, as well as most of the senior users who tend to read things via "View posts since last visit" anyway. Just In case it's not obvious to you, these are exactly the kind of people you don't want to annoy, since they're the ones who can most likely answer your questions.

Finally, Cecil is a man of his word, if he deems a post "off topic in this sub-forum" he WILL delete it as promised.
