Still waiting for my PRV-250 to get here, but I have the rest of the system setup and configured. Using an Geforce 3 w/ s-video out for now. Install (auto) went great, no errors. Added the following to /etc/X11/XFConfig-4 Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV" HorizSync "30 - 50" VertRefresh "60" Then did the: install-nvidia.sh but nothing happens after x starts. The monitor goes black and I see no output on my tv. Did I mess up something, or will nothing happen if the PVR-250 is not installed. Also, do I have to setup my network manually? My router didn't assign the box an IP or anything... (little help with this part too since I can't even remember the command to access that via console). Thanks guys! |

If you have no tuner and are trying to watch TV, I imagine you'd get a balnk screen. I don't quite understand your problem. Do you not see the MythTV main menu? netcardconfig |

Correct, I don't see the configuration screen. I know I can't watch TV without the board ![]() I assume that mythtv boots up automatically right? Right after I run that script I *should* see something right? |

Did the netcardconf and now able to ssh into the box (thanks!) Man, here's where I show you all just how little able LINUX I know. Turns out my problem was solved by doing a ctrl+alt+- which switched vid modes. Now my problem is that I cannot see the entire mythtv screen in my monitor. If I move the mouse up or down, the screen moves so i can see it all. ctrl and - or ctrl and + change it somewhat, but I would think there's some setting I have incorrectly configured. Also, I cannot output it to my TV at all ![]() |

sounds like you have X set to a higher resolution than your tv can handle. try changing XF86Config-4 so that 800x600 is the highest resolution at your default color depth, which I believe should already be set, so you may need to go down to 640x480. |

X: I did that... now it displays just fine on the monitor, but I cannot get it to dump to the TV at all. Are there lines in the /etc/X11/XFConfig-4 I need to add to allow a TV Output? |

If you are using a monitor and a tv then there are alot of line you need to add to your config. I would suggest you just use one or the other it is much easier that way. The nvidia twinview stuff in not complete and other brands are even less so. |
