well knoppmyth uses the built in lirc support not irxevent. you probably missed the step where you have to run install-i686-l to get lirc support compiled in. you can run that script now as root and it should fix you up. |

no problem, if you are going to use the video section you may want to search the boards to find out how to get that part to work with the remote. It was left out of this release, but I'm sure it will be in the next one. |
