I like "Rip DVD" option, thats why. I got frontend running but DVD doesn't play and rip DVD doesn't work

Can you install mythTV on the PC without TV/capture card? I just want to use it to play my DVD and DivX files. |

Yes, you can but, when you start the frontend it may crap out because "nothing is in the database". Why not just use MPlayer? or Xine? |

That is because "there is nothing in the database, this isn't going to work". Basically the backend is complaining about not having a program listing. In the past, I've seen it affect watching TV(don't know what all it affects). I suppose you can fake it as go thru all the setup steps, but I've never done that.... |
