its a dell p4 2ghz/ pc800 rdram / ati 9600, with a winfast 2000 xp tuner, and a sb audigy in it.

basically, its just ignoring the fact it should be booting to an OS.

now, im fairly new to linux in general, only using it for the past.. week or so. so id appreciate the total newb explanation, here. thanks!

no. because honestly? i have no idea what the hell i did. it just works now. anyone taking my advice is likely to screw themselves up even more.

oh wait i have a new problem. it says it cant connect to the master backend server (is it running, ip addy right?)

what do i change? this seems like a fairly easy fix, just gotta know the settings i imagine..

its weird, i can connect to backend if i use the mythbackend command to manually start it, but it doesn't seem to start on its own when mythtv boots.

how do i fix that one?

last time i checked not being able to start mythtv qualifies as installation.

that is a major feature of knoppmyth, right? starting.. mythtv?

just checking.
