Hi all, Sadly, like countless others before me, I am tired and frustrated. I'm trying to get a Twinhan DVB up and running and have attempted the various how-to's with no success. My setup is a Chaintec nvidia mobo with an AMD processor. I've been reading about the "BIG DVB PATCH" on the dev lists and was curious if this will make it into a distro OR do I just install mythtv and then do the patch? Thanks, vp |

well the patch will make it into the next version of mythtv, which I'm sure will make it into knoppmyth shortly after it's released, however, sadly, I do not believe that 0.17 will be out too quickly. and you cannot install mythtv and then patch it. what you have to do is unload mythtv and then use cvs to download the latest development code and compile it. however on the current version of knoppmyth this can be quite a pain because of the new qt dependency that knoppmyth does not have, and doesn't install easily. |

Thanks for the reply. The positive side of things is at least they are working on it. I finally got the bt878 recognized and functioning under FC2, this at least told me it was possible, thus I've started back with the knoppmyth to see if I can make it happen there. Thanks, vp |
