Post subject: | I/O error on install |
After I choose Auto-Install and go through the 5 steps, this happens: ide-scsi: hda: unsupported command in request queue(0) cmd_request: I/O error, dev 03:00 (hba), sector 0 ide-scsi: hda: unsupported command in request queue(0) cmd_request: I/O error, dev 03:00 (hba), sector 2 ide-scsi: hda: unsupported command in request queue(0) cmd_request: I/O error, dev 03:00 (hba), sector 4 ide-scsi: hda: unsupported command in request queue(0) cmd_request: I/O error, dev 03:00 (hba), sector 6 /usr/local/bin/KnoppMyth-auto: line 608: / 1000000: syntax error: operand expected (error token is " / 1000000") The CD drive is on IDE channel 1, hard drive is on channel 2, both set to master. I tried booting with ide=nodma but no dice. Anyone have any other suggestions? This is an old Compaq with a 1.33Ghz Athlon, so it's nothing new or fancy. |

The KnoppMyth installer doesn't like cdrom on IDE1 and disk on IDE2. If you can swap those to the "traditional" order you'll probably be off and running with no further problems. |
