Let me preface this by saying ive had little exposure to linux until i started working on my mythtv box. My current set up is as listed:
p3 800mhz
512mb ram
30 gig HD
Nvidia Geforce2 MX 400
Cnet 10/100
Soundblaster clone
Hauppauge PVR-350

I've already gotten the svideo output on the geforce working on my television, and I did the xmltv hack so it pulls up the proper provider as well.

Is there a way to see which devices /video /video0 /video1 etc are set up for which cards in my system? Or is there a typical setting for the 350 card? I've tried /video, 0 and 1 and i either get a totally black screen, or a grey screen with some of the overlay, but no actual video. My cable is properly hooked up to the hauppauge card.

I've left the vbi device, audio device, sampling rate limit at default, and i put the default input on tuner 0 in the capture card settings.

In input connections i Selected Input Tuner 0's video source as "cable" which I've already defined. I left external channel change command, preset tuner to channel, and starting channel at the default settings.

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated

Thanks

Brandon
