| Post subject: | TV shows up in black and white |
I'm new to Linux and just got KnoppMyth up and running today on an nforce2 IGP board with an ATI TV Wonder. I set everything up correctly to the best of my knowledge but the live TV and TV recordings are black and white. Is it possible the tuner is set up wrong? What might I try to change to get it showing color? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply Dinki. I actually just got it working and wanted to update. I guess the changes I made to modules.conf worked but did not show up until reboot. Here's what I changed/added(found in a mythtv guide somewhere on the web): alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 bttv pre-install bttv modprobe -k msp3400; modprobe -k tuner options tuner type=2 No idea what the pre-install part is about because I'm a noob. I sure am happy that this sucker is working now. Next I'm taking it into the living room to hook it up to the receiver and see if the optical is working. |
