After upgrading from R4V5 where everything was working well, I am unable to watch television.

After first it was reporting errors (from boot to myth) about not being able to open /dev/video0

After following : http://www.mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3485
those errors have gone away, however, I still get a blank screen.

mythfrontend now reports:

Couldn't get the color key color, and we need it, You likely won't get any video.
Realtime priority would require SUID as root
Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
Video timing method: USleep with busy wait
prebuffering pause

/dev/video : crw-rw----- 1 root video 81, ...

I tried running from root and it didn't seem to make a difference.

Anyone have any ideas to point me in the right direction?

When the source is open, the possibilities are endless!

Apparently the tuner was assigned to the input "Television" -- after changing it to Tuner 0, it started working.

Could someone please clarify "A9" ? I have no idea what that means. I am getting:


I could not find anything relevant in Google.
