I'm trying to install KnoppMyth and it boots from CD just fine.

Then it scans for devices and eventually says that it's looking for the install on /dev/scd0 which I don't have. (unless it's talking about the IDE drive "magicmapped" to /dev/scd0) From there it fails. Tosses me in that limited shell... and the install is dead in the water.

Even if I boot with "noscsi" option, it leaves out the line about tmscsi, but still looks for the install CD in /dev/scd0.

What the heck am I doing wrong?

Try using the 'nodma' option at the Knoppix splashscreen. That got me past that point. Once everything was installed, DMA was already enabled on the harddrive.

I didn't need to use the 'noscsi' option.

That certainly helped.

I guess the only other question I have for now is that I have 2 drives in my system and want to manually partition. Where can I do that manually? Do I have to run in "advanced" mode? If so - it's not quite clear.

Perhaps reading the KnoppMyth documentation. Thanks for letting me know I wasted my time writing them... :(

Actually, I'm a big fan of RTFM. Perhaps it's more my problem for reading the stuff too late at night when I should be sleeping.
