Post subject:  Network Problem

Hi, i new to Linux so forgive me if any questions i ask seem obvious.

I am trying to install R5A12 with an asus P4P800-E motherboard. I know this board is compatible, since many others have posted successful installation with it, but with R5A10. When i use dhclient, i get an eth0 unknown hardware address 24. I have found a driver for the Ethernet controller, but i can not seem to access my cdrom to install it. I have tried the mount
Code:
/dev/cdrom/mnt
command but it does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :?:

most likely you don't even need to use the driver. search for firewire network and you should see a problem that sounds familiar.

If you do still need to use the driver you are mounting the cdrom in completely the wrong way. Assuming your cdrom drive is the secondary master the command would be

Code:
mount /dev/hdc /cdrom

and the files should then show up under the /cdrom directory.
