Post subject: | R5A12 on Epia M10000 |
Hi all, I'm trying to install R5A12 on my new Epia M10000, and it seems everything works except TV output, which is awful, just a green and blue colors. I do not have any PVR card yet, so I'm using the s-video epia output and not sure whether I have configured "XF86Config-4" file in the right way. Basically I followed the next steps: - Autoinstall CD option.... OK - dpkg -i /usr/srcv/mythtv/epia/*.deb .... OK - update-modules (I was not sure whether I have to do it or not) - And finally change "XF86Config-4" file as follows: Section "Module" Load "ddc" # ddc probing of monitor Load "GLcore" Load "dbe" Load "v4l" Load "drm" Load "dri" Load "extmod" Load "glx" Load "bitmap" # bitmap-fonts Load "speedo" Load "type1" Load "freetype" Load "record" EndSection Change the "Device" section with card0 to look like this: Section "Device" Identifier "card0" Driver "via" Option "DPMS" Option "TVType" "PAL" Option "TVVScan" "over" Option "TVOutput" "S-Video" Option "ActiveDevice" "TV" EndSection Did I miss something? It's a known problem with via motherboards ? Or, even with the R5A12 Do I have to follow almost the whole Howto described in the wiki link below? http://knoppmythwiki.homelinux.org/inde ... therboards Thanks in advance Abel |

answering to myself: 1. edit "XF86Config-4" file 2. set Option "DPMS" to "false" And it works |
